Leon County 4-H Shooting Sports Advance to State!

Shooting sports events are a necessary and functional part of the Leon
County 4-H Program. Kids
and youth development are our primary objectives. We seek
simultaneously to educate young people and to
introduce them to enjoyable, socially acceptable, mentally and
physically challenging, character-building
sports. Among those items are shooting sports. Fun and safety are
primary products, and they are deeply
intertwined with the rules, formalizing courtesy and maintaining order.

The Leon County 4-H Shooting Sports Program uses current rules of
several archery governing bodies with some modifications to meet the
objectives of the program or to increase the success rates of youth
participating in the program. In 4-H events, 4-H rules and regulations supersede
all other rules where differences exist. Leon County 4-H members
competing in the District Competion were Faith Lipsey, Matt Gilliam, Andy
Johnson, Tobe Johnson, Jeffery Smith, Peyton Mulson, Blake Payne, Jermery
Minter, Riley Conn, Travis Eldridge, Leanne Gore, Morgan Mulson, Ross
Beshears, Curtis Wilson, Cassie Ferguson, Marc McLeod, Pete Lipsey,
Sara Ewing, Paige Eldridge, Michael, Johnston,Nathanial Young, Austin
